Superstars of Australian athletics will take on the world’s best in a high-profile track and field meet on home soil, with the Melbourne Track Classic upgraded and reimagined as the Maurie Plant Meet - Melbourne.

Kids Athletics Clinic at Lakeside Stadium - Thu 23rd Feb

Athletics Australia is also hosting a Kids’ Athletics clinic with fun activities for primary aged children prior to the start of the meet. Children must be 5 to 10 years - all abilities and ages. Clinic is free of charge, will run from 5.30pm – 6.30pm on the grass long throws warm up area adjacent to Gate 1.

Program will be delivered by Athletics Australia Accredited Coaches and incorporate activities from AA’s Kids Aths program. Athletics Australia will also have elite athletes involved and interacting with the kids.

Parents must have purchased tickets to attend the Maurie Plant Meet and provide their ORDER NUMBER found on their Ticketek purchase confirmation email. Parents will also need to register for the clinic via the form linked below that collects basic info (kids name/s, and age/s, parent name & mobile, club (LAVic Centre).

Please note: Spots are limited, and pre-registration required. Clinic registration closes for Little Aths members: Sunday 12th February.
