Welcome to Week 7 of the 2021-2022 season at Mornington Little Athletics Centre (MLAC).
Welcome to Week 7 of our Summer Little Aths season for this year. This is our final event for this year and we are holding the MLAC Combined Event this Saturday which is always great fun. In this event, all registered and paid athletes will gain points for each event completed. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each Age Group and these will be presented in mid Jan 2022 when we return. We hope to see all our MLAC Families in this final week as we are expecting a 'special' visitor on the day.
On behalf of the Mornington Little Athletics Committee, we would like to wish all our MLAC Families, kids and friends a wonderful holiday break and to enjoy time with family and loved ones. We hope to see you all back in the New Year when we kick off on Saturday 8th Jan for our Twilight session event.

Tickets will be on sale at our MLAC BBQ for this final week so please come and support us with a great chance to win these fantastic prizes. Prizes will be drawn by the MLAC Executive Committee at the end of the session on Sat 18th Dec and winners will be notified by email by Monday 20th Dec. Please consider registering and nominating Mornington Little Athletics with your Rebel Sports purchases as we get funding from these sales.
Regional Track and Field Carnivals
The Regional Track and Field event will be held at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, Murrumbeena on the 12th and 13th February 2022. Please note there will be no MLAC Competition held on Sat 12th Feb as a result. Mornington Little Aths usually has a strong presence at the Regional events and we look forward to supporting a big team on the day. Please register via Southern Metro Region portal before registration closes on Sun 30th Jan 2022. State Combined Event Championship
The dates for the State Combined Championship Event has now been released for Sat 29th and Sun 30th Jan 2022. This event is open to fully registered U9 to U16 athletes but entries are limited so please register soon if you are interested. Cost is $50 per entry and more details are available on the LAVic Website -

MLAC Open Day 2022
We are excited to host the Mornington Little Athletics Open Day on Sunday 23rd Jan 2022. This is where invite other Little Athletics Centres to compete with us at Civic Reserve. We had a fantastic turn out when we held this event in 2019 and we look forward to welcoming families from all across Victoria to our Mornington track. Please note, there will be no competition event on Sat 22nd Jan and all registered Mornington Athletes are welcome to participate with no charge. Prizes will be given 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the conclusion of the Open Day Event. More information is available on our Website.

Pavilion Construction Commencing Soon
We are excited to announce that construction of a brand new Pavilion will commence at Civic Reserve in the next few weeks. As a result, there will be disruption to venue access as the construction site will be fenced off. The existing containers have now been moved to another location. Please take care during construction and stay well clear of the construction site once it has been fenced off.

Our program for Week 7 is now available for download on our Website which contains all the scheduled events for each age group. Please note that MLAC can vary the Events and schedule pending the weather conditions for the day.
Parent & Volunteer Duties
Thank you to all the parents who have already used our new Duty Booking app on the website. All parents are expected to fulfil their weekly duty allocation. Our club cannot function each week without the assistance of our parents and volunteers.
Duties for this week are as follows:
From 7:30am Track Set-up - Under 12 Girls & Under 9 Girls
8:00am - 12pm BBQ Duties - Under 7 Girls & Open Girls
11:30am - 12pm Track Pack-up - Under 6 Boys and Under 8 Girls
Please book your duties online to help MLAC run each session effectively. We are very grateful to our MLAC Committee who gets this work done each week but we certainly need all parents to assist.
Uniforms
MLAC offers a range of uniforms and merchandise for sale at each session including Club t-shirts, singlets, crop-tops, MLAC hoodies and LA Vic branded shorts. We also offer ceramic running spikes and shoe bags. If you need to purchase any uniform item, you can do so using our online shop and click & collect on Saturday morning.
We had lots of new uniforms sold in the past 5 weeks and our stock is running low. To beat the rush on Saturday morning, please order online and then you can click & collect on Saturday. We have ordered new stock which should hopefully arrive in early Jan 2022.
A friendly reminder that any uniform with a Jetstar patch or logo is not permitted by LAVic. Little Athletics has been sponsored by Coles for almost 5 years and you must ensure your MLAC top, singlet has the Coles logo attached. If you need to collect a Coles patch, please come and collect one from the office on Saturday morning.
New Families FAQs
We are delighted to welcome our Trial Athletes families to Mornington Little Aths. We have a lot of useful information on our website including a list of FAQs and what to expect on the day. All our parents are encouraged to assist and support our kids as they complete their events. If you have any questions about our Program or Centre, please get in contact with us or any Committee Member (wearing Orange Polo tops) on the track.
Results HQ
Each week event results are added to the Results HQ website where you can view your child’s results if you are a paid member. For our trial athletes, once you complete the registration process and pay the fees, your child’s results will also be available.
For those who haven't accessed their results before, you will need to do so through the Results HQ platform. To login use your primary email address that you used during registration, will become our username for Results HQ
