Updated Covid Protocols
In order to comply with Government and LAVic operating protocols, Mornington Little Athletics Centre (MLAC) will be operating under a different set of rules from previous seasons. As part of our Covid Safe Plan, we will require all families to register their attendance using our online Covid Attendance register
for each session. We also have a QR Code that can be used to access the online web form.
All parents, volunteers and athletes should maintain social distance of at least 1.5 metres except during events.
Face masks should be carried by officials, parents, volunteers and athletes over 12 years and worn only if you cannot maintain a social distance within your group.
There is a maximum group size of 50 patrons which does not include age group managers and volunteers.
All athletes should still sanitize their hands at the start of the session, after each event and at the end of the session.
All equipment should be sanitized after each athlete has completed their turn.
Masks, water bottles, hats, warm clothing cannot be stored in trolley and must be kept separate from other athletes. We recommend parents bring a backpack/bag to hold these items between events
If you are not feeling well, please do not attend the session and seek medical advice.
Please refer to the full list of MLAC Covid Protocols on our website and if you have questions, please contact our MLAC Committee members or CovidSafe officials.

Age Group Managers and Coaching course
Each season we rely on parent volunteers to step up to the role of Age Group manager. This role is not onerous and lots of fun as you will be guiding, supporting and encouraging our kids through each event.
We encourage and support Age Group managers to complete the course formerly known as the Introduction to Coaching (‘ITC’) that has been re-named by Little Athletics Australia in recent weeks and will now be known and ‘Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills’.
LAVic is planning to conduct a number of ITLAS courses in coming weeks with groups of up to 50 (presuming anticipated restrictions allow). Dates, venues (regional and metro), presenters and other logistics are currently being finalized and will be communicated soon. If you are interested in attending, please let us know via mornington@lavic.com.au.
