Welcome to Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the 2020-2021 new season at Mornington Little Athletics Centre (MLAC). A special welcome to all the new families who are joining us in a brand new season. It was fantastic to see our members and kids return and new families join us for the Season Launch on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning.

This season will certainly be different to how we previously operated and we want to ensure that our kids and families have fun and enjoy their time on the track and field after a long period of lockdown. We are hopeful that as restrictions continue to ease, we can further improve and enjoy each session including bringing back the BBQ which we dearly miss.

We certainly appreciate your patience and understanding as we launch the new season and we appreciate all our new and returning families who assist with the running of each weekly session.

Age Group Managers and Committee members needed

Now is a great time to contribute your ideas, suggestions and join our MLAC Committee. We are seeking an Assistant Secretary who can assist with the Club duties. This is a great opportunity to help shape the Club and become a valued member of the MLAC family. We are also seeking a BBQ Coordinator for Season 2020. The BBQ is a great fundraiser for the Club and we all enjoy a sausage after each Saturday Session. If you would like to nominate, please reach out to our Club Secretary Mark Henry who can provide you with more information.

Each season we rely on parent volunteers to step up to the role of Age Group manager. This role is not onerous and lots of fun as you will be guiding, supporting and encouraging our kids through each event. If you would like to be an Age Group manager, please get in touch with our Committee members. We look forward to seeing current and new Age Group managers each week.
