Welcome to Week 14

Welcome to Week 14 of the 2021-2022 season at Mornington Little Athletics Centre (MLAC).

SMR Regional Results

Over the weekend we had a total of 35 athletes compete who achieved 72 PB's, 10 Club Records and 38 Medals (12 Gold, 14 Silver and 12 Bronze). What an awesome result, well done to everyone that competed over the weekend.

A big thank you to those that made the weekend possible for our children. Thank you to the parents that completed club duties, without your assistance our children cannot compete. A particular thanks to those that stepped in cover duties at a moment's notice and to the parents that were attending an out of centre event for the first time, making sure your children were there on time, had the correct uniform on and worked out where there kids needed to be.

A massive congratulations to all the Mornington Little Aths that participated. We are super proud of all of your results and achievements. We look forward to supporting and cheering the MLAC Athletes who are progressing to the State Track & Field Championships in March 2022.

Coles Community Round - 19th Feb

This Sat 19th Feb is the annual Coles Community Round proudly sponsored by Victorian Little Athletics Major Sponsor Coles. We are encouraging our Little Aths and Families to dress up with a 'splash of red' to celebrate this Round. If you have your Coles caps from last year, please bring these along too. We have some prizes to hand out during the day and the popular Coles 'Selfie Frame' will be floating around to capture those fun pics. Last but not least, we are hopeful to have the Coles Bananas back this week for our Little Aths to enjoy.

Royal Children's Hospital - Good Friday Appeal - Sat 27th Feb

Next week, MLAC will help with raising funds for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. Every year, Little Aths Centres across Victoria help to raise funds for the Good Friday Appeal. We will be collecting Gold Coin Donations at the MLAC BBQ and also donating a portion of our BBQ takings to this fantastic event. We are grateful for all donations from our MLAC Families.

Thank you to all the parents who have already used our new Duty Booking app on the website. All parents are expected to fulfil their weekly duty allocation. Our club cannot function each week without the assistance of our parents and volunteers.

Training

The next Training session is scheduled for Wed 23th Feb starting at 5:00pm. The final summer training session will be held on Wed 9th March 2022 so please ensure you book online for each child that is attending training.

Cross Country Season

Each year, MLAC conduct a Cross Country Season starting end of April until end of August. If you have registered for the Summer Season, your membership also includes the Winter Cross Country season for free. We run every second Saturday in different locations across Mornington Peninsula. Our members can run 1km, 1.5km, 2 or 3km distances. We will provide further details in April before the Cross Country season commences and we would love to see lots of MLAC Little Aths participate during the winter season.

Results HQ

Each week event results are added to the Results HQ website where you can view your child’s results if you are a paid member. For our trial athletes, once you complete the registration process and pay the fees, your child’s results will also be available.

For those who haven't accessed their results before, you will need to do so through the Results HQ platform. To login use your primary email address that you used during registration, will become our username for Results HQ

Please note that results are not always live and it may take a little while for them to be put into the system. There is also a PDF Achievement Book with all of the athletes' season results available to print and download.
