Welcome to Week 12

Welcome to Week 12 of the 2021-2022 season at Mornington Little Athletics Centre (MLAC).

Welcome to Week 12 of our Summer Little Aths season for this new year. This Saturday 5th Feb event will be the Peninsula Challenge which MLAC will host together with Southern Peninsula LAC and Westernport LAC competing together for the Peninsula Shield. The trophy will go to the Centre with highest number of Personal Best (PB) achieved per financial member. We look forward to welcoming guests and families from Westernport and Southern Peninsula for this fun annual event.

Finally, a big congratulations to the athletes representing MLAC at the State Combined Event Competition last week end. Harry (U10 Boys) finished 5th, Frankie (U9 Girls) finished 15th and Matthew (U14 Boys) finished 19th in their respective age groups which is fantastic achievement for all.

Regional Track and Field Carnivals

The Regional Track and Field event will be held at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, Murrumbeena on the 12th and 13th February 2022. Please note there will be no MLAC Competition held on Sat 12th Feb as a result. We will have over 40 athletes representing MLAC over the week-end so best of luck to all our MLAC Little Aths.

This week is the last opportunity to ensure you have the correct uniform including Coles patch sewn on to meet Uniform entry requirements. You will not be allowed to compete without the correct uniform. Lastly, all parents attending are expected to fulfil their duties during Events so please look out for the forthcoming timetable of Regional duties. If you need any uniform items or Coles patches, please come and see us this Saturday morning.

Uniform Requirements

We have received supply of new Uniform Stock (Sizes 8 and 10) so if you are yet to purchase a uniform, you can place and order online or collect on Saturday morning. Please note that Coles Patches are compulsory part of the Uniform. If you need a Coles Patch, please see one of the MLAC Officials. The Coles patch must be sewn above the Little Athletics Victoria Logo on the right hand side of the Uniform. Also, black shorts are part of the MLAC uniform so if you need shorts, please visit the MLAC Shop online.

A friendly reminder that any uniform with a Jetstar patch or logo is not permitted by LAVic. Little Athletics has been sponsored by Coles for 5 years and you must ensure your MLAC top, singlet has the Coles logo attached. If you need to collect a Coles patch, please come and collect one from the office on Saturday morning.

Training

Training is back on for this coming Wed 9th Feb starting at 5:00pm. This will be the final training event before the Regional Carnivals so please ensure you book online for each child that is attending training.

Weekly Program

Our program for this week is now available for download on our Website which contains all the scheduled events for each age group. Please note that MLAC can vary the Events and schedule pending the weather conditions for the day.

New Families FAQs

We are delighted to welcome our Trial Athletes families to Mornington Little Aths. We have a lot of useful information on our website including a list of FAQs and what to expect on the day. All our parents are encouraged to assist and support our kids as they complete their events. If you have any questions about our Program or Centre, please get in contact with us or any Committee Member (wearing Orange Polo tops) on the track.

Covid 19 Update

A friendly reminder to all MLAC Families to ensure you check in every time you attend an MLAC event - training or competition event. Please ensure you maintain a safe distance and practice good hand-hygiene during events. Given the increase in Covid infection rates in the community, please ensure that you do not attend if you have any covid-like symptoms. Our CovidSafe Plan is published on the website and we encourage all families to be familiar with the LAVIC and Centre Covid-safe protocols and our plan. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Results HQ

Each week event results are added to the Results HQ website where you can view your child’s results if you are a paid member. For our trial athletes, once you complete the registration process and pay the fees, your child’s results will also be available.

For those who haven't accessed their results before, you will need to do so through the Results HQ platform. To login use your primary email address that you used during registration, will become our username for Results HQ

Please note that results are not always live and it may take a little while for them to be put into the system. There is also a PDF Achievement Book with all of the athletes' season results available to print and download.
