MLAC is moving to Mornington Secondary College!

Merry Christmas to all our members and families!

The committee would like to announce that the move to Mornington Secondary College has begun! The first of our shipping containers was delivered to the school today, and the 2 remaining containers will be moved after Christmas. It is sad to leave Mace Oval after nearly 13 seasons, but we truly have outgrown the space.

Our first competition day in the New Year is on January 7th at Ballam Park, Frankston. Our first day of competition at our new temporary home at MSC will be January 14th. We will run a shortened program on this day to ensure we iron out any of the kinks we may experience in the new location. We ask everyone to be patient, and assist where you can to help make the transition to a 400m track as smooth as possible.

We will continue to foster our welcoming atmosphere and ask parents to still follow their children to each event. The culture within our club is well known and respected within the Little Aths community, and we don't want to lose this because we have left Mace Oval. We are one of the few clubs that allow parents to interact with their children during competition, and we pride ourselves on this.

We would also like to thank 2 local businesses who are helping us immensely with this move. Firstly to Moorooduc Timber for donating the sleepers that the containers will be resting on. Secondly to Charlton Degg, a surveying/engineering company from Mt Eliza who will assist us with our first line marking survey. They are doing this for us for free, potentially saving the club a lot of money.

We wish all our members and their families a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year. We look forward to seeing the club move ahead in the new year, and hope that the new track works start some time in 2017.
