2016 Christmas Handicap/Jetstar Round Wrap Up

We had a great turn out yesterday for the 2016 Christmas Handicap. Congratulations to the winner of the Christmas Handicap, U10 girl Luella Swaine, and the winner of the Junior Handicap, U7 boy James Sullivan. Videos of the 2 races and photos from the morning have been uploaded to Facebook.

The Christmas Raffle raised a whopping $800!!!!
Thank you to every single person who bought tickets. The money will go towards the new club rooms to be built when the new track at Civic Reserve opens. The winners of the raffle were:
- Darcy Still who chose the Air Hockey table, - Skye who chose the Fitbit Charge 2, - Natasha Gibbons won a Garmin Vivofit Junior, and - Sophie Atta who also won a Garmin Vivofit Junior.

Congratulations to all those who won trophies from our Multi Event day on November 26th. For those who weren't present we will get your trophy to you in the New Year.
We had lots of fun with our Jetstar Round theme. Mace Oval was covered in more orange than normal this week. Fingers crossed we are in with a chance for a prize this year. There are 2 categories of prizes, club and individual. If you have any of your own Jetstar themed photos from yesterday, send them in to jetstarround@lavic.com.au.

Santa made time for us out of his busy schedule and arrived on a fire truck! He then greeted all the kids and handed out lollies. A huge thank you to the Mt Martha CFA for helping Santa out yesterday!!
Good luck to all our athletes competing at State Relays at Lakeside Stadium next Saturday. Be your best and have fun!
Our next competition day is January 7th, 2017. This is our annual Interclub competition with Frankston, Seaford and Casey LAC's, at Ballam Park, Frankston. Start time is 4pm. More information will be emailed to families in the week before.
The Mornington LAC committee would like to wish all our members and their families a safe and happy Christmas and New Year.
