Our History - Information Wanted

To the best of the current Committee and members knowledge, Mornington Little Athletics Centre has been in existance since the early 1970's. In that time it has had several homes including Dallas Brooks Park, Osborne Primary School, Padua College and a couple of other venues around Mornington, including its current home at Mace Oval Mount Martha.

Over the past few years the Mornington township has had a major growth and a flow on effect of this is a rebirth of the Morington Little Athletics Centre. Over the last 4 years Morington has moved from the 60th largest Little Athletics Centre to the 25th largest centre. We currently have around 300 members this coming season. Again we will be capping membership, due to the size of our current venue.

Although we have good records and information about our recent past, we have little or no information regarding the history of the Centre, from its early days in the 1970's through to the early 2000's.

If you were a past committee member, a little athlete or a parent involved with the club in the early days we would love to hear from you and get any information we can about how the centre has evolved over the past 30-40 years.
