Listed below are the teams selected to compete
for Mornington at Sunday's Regional Relays at Ross Reserve, Corrigan
Road Springvale. Teams will not be finalised until after Saturdays
COMPULSORY training session at Mace Oval.
If you are unable to attend Sunday you MUST
let either Jason
Cridland (0418 148 885) or Sandy Harrison (0408 322 315)
know as soon as possible. We have until Saturday to finalise teams
- so if you cannot make it please contact one of them as soon as
possible.
OFFICIALING
A reminder to all parents that you will be required
to officiate during the day. Mornington will be mainly responsible
for the Change box 1 judging and for a few other various positions
around the ground. Please read the booket given out this week to
understand your responsibilities.
UNIFORMS
We will be wearing our "modified" new
singlets this weekend. We are allowed to wear either a white or
orange shirt underneath the singlets. As we will be rotating singlets
through various teams can you please ensure athletes have another
top to wear. We may need to quickly grab a singlet from someone
who has just finished an event to give it to someone else.
Only black shorts, black bikeshorts or Knicks can be worn. They
must NOT have any markings, labels or brandnames on them. Shorts
cannot be longer than 10cm above the knees.
WELLBEING OF ATHLETES
We will be bringing along our tent and a couple
of shade tents. These will be for athletes to sit in the shade and
relax before competing so please give them the space to do so. The
temperature is expected to be fine and about 25 degrees - so please
make sure you bring sunscreen, hats and water/fluids and food.
FUN
Remember - the most important thing to remember
is to have fun. and remember what Sandy says : "Thumb to your
Bum, Palm to the Sun and Keep it Straight"
